Psalm 37:16
16 Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;

because things that you don feel strongly for, you don give a shit about it. @ Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:30 AM
LOL. the title seems like it's gonna be an angsty post. lol, chillax people. im not gonna do that.......

it's just something that's been running through my head. if i dun care about something, do i acty want to do something about it? i guess i'm not that kind that likes to waste my precious time doing something that im not concerned about. hai i duno how to put this feeling into words.

so say the heiren's incident.
the reporters clearly did not give a shit about the kids, or the people who are trying their best to make this world a better place. all they cared about is viewerships, ratings and how well they can blow up a little piece of info into great and shocking news to everybody else. clearly, i really really believe that he did not profit from any sales of the tshirt. like, why do you want to do that?! why do you want to hurt somebody who is trying their best to do something to make this work? why do people want to bring others down just for the better for themselves?
just because you don't feel strongly for his heart in serving the community, you don't give a shit about it? you just keep hurting him because that's gonna give you what you want?

why do you not care about the effort that people put in, regardless of whether there are results or not. why do our world only care about results. when you do well, you're something. when you don't do well, even if you put in your 101% you're still a nobody. why do people only think that you really studied when your grades can get into a uni. why do people think that you're not doing your best when your cap is below average in uni. why do people not get it that it's your best that God wants you to do? not their best, but your best! why do people choose to qns, why do people choose to doubt, why do people choose to discourage, rather to affirm, encourage and try their best to be nice to one another? why do we point our guns at one another, when we all know that humans are all inter-dependent....

i have alot of qns in my mind for this depraved world. sometimes, i look at it, and i'm so disheartened about how distorted our values can get. and i'm even more disappointed with myself whenever i'm infuenced by it, compromising on what i have in God just to enjoy the temporal moments of this world. i'm sorry God..

i think the only answer to the above qns that i have is that we're all sinful man who have fallen short of the glory of God. the standard that He set for us long long long time ago. now, we're all trying to fight the satan in us to go through that narrow gate. no matter how enticing the other road can get, i pray that God's strength is enough to pull all the everyone through.

how apt is today's daily bread

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

3I'm speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

4-6In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn't amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren't.

6-8If you preach, just preach God's Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don't take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don't get bossy; if you're put in charge, don't manipulate; if you're called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don't let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.

9-10Love from the center of who you are; don't fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.

i believe this means that regardless of situation, i should continue what im doing in the kingdom of God, because faith should nto be shaken by circumstances. we can have extraordainary faith because of an extraordinary God.
